With battery use being such a subjective feature based on usage habits, I decided to run Geekbench 4's battery benchmark test on the G7 Power and the G7 and compare the results.
The G7's battery lasted on average 6 hours and 14 minutes in the benchmark test with its 3,mAh battery.
The G7 Power more than doubled that number in the same test, lasting 14 hours and 21 minutes. During daily usage, I didn't notice any hiccups or feel as if the phone took a performance hit compared to my experience with the G7. Photos I captured with the camera are of the same ilk as the G7. That is to say, in ideal lighting conditions, photos were clear and crisp, if not a little overexposed. But in lighting bright or dim lighting conditions, the camera suffers.

Motorola's Android software tweaks are present, but not overbearing. Moto Actions make it easy to turn on the camera or flashlight with gestures like twisting the phone or quickly flicking the phone in a chopping motion. Performance is a non-issue, and the battery life is nothing short of amazing.
In regular everyday use, both phones felt the same and performed just fine. The Moto G7 and G7 Power are more than capable enough to handle average tasks like browsing the web, scrolling through social media, launching apps, and watching YouTube in a smooth fashion. There were no issues with lag or crashes. Clash Royale , a game that I play quite frequently, was frustrating to play.

Having a depth sensor also allows the Moto G7 to refocus and adjust the background blur after the fact. Neither camera is spectacular in low light. Highlights are severely blown out, details are muddy, and the images are very noisy. In bright conditions or average indoor lighting, you can pull off some good-looking shots with bright colors and detail.
Photos from the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Power look fairly similar but you can spot some differences when you look closely. The auto beauty mode on by default is also a little too aggressive with skin softening for my tastes so I ended up turning this off. Ever since the original Moto X, Motorola has gone with a bare-bones approach. Motorola handles a few things better than stock Android Pie.
